One of the oldest French Fashion Houses Cacharel has declared the assignment for a post of creative directors a married couple from Great Britain - Mark Eley and Vakako Kishimoto, who work most successfully on the native land under the brand Eley Kishimoto.

Cardinal changes in management of the Fashion House have come after reorganization of an administrative management. The new committee of directors structure has initiated changing of creative directors and inhaling a new life in Cacharel.

Now Eley Kishimoto, well-known in the world by their bright prints and nostalgic notes in styles, are busy with moving to Paris to start the work above first Cacharel’s collection of «autumn - winter 2007/2008».

«We are very glad and start our work with pleasure, - have declared designers. - The aesthetics of Cacharel is in harmony with our representations about the fine. We think, we will create an excellent tandem».

Last Wednesday LeSportsac has presented the special collection of bags and accessories, created with the assistance of Stella McCartney. This line includes about seventeen denominations, which prices vary from $98 for a vanity bag and up to $475 for a roomy luggage bag. Roughly the collection will go on sale next January.

«Creating each model, Stella first of all was guided by her preferences and vision of what should be an ideal bag for a travel», - told about the concept of this line one of LeSportsac’s representatives.

Besides luggage bags this collection also includes soft covers for a laptop and a camera, children’s backpacks and bags for training equipment. Models will be produced in grey, dark blue, dark pink and orange colors in combination with abstract prints in pop art style. Following the environment support policy, Stella McCartney has used only natural non-polluting materials and stuff for creation of this collection.

Eclecticism
Mixture of styles, dialogue of various cultures – this season stylish footwear is the hottest hit.
The first reason - stylistics of the shoe collections. Fashion designers this season do not offer cardinal changes concerning both current forms (a round toe, high steady heel still keep with leading positions), and texture solutions, choosing traditional embossed or smooth leather, velour, natural fur. However the question of presentation and combinations is solved by designers in a new fashion. Obtrusion of images are changed with freedom of your imagination.

The second reason - accents. This season you are free to put them, choosing between classical and ethnic motives, between modern luxury and traditions of retro of glamour, between discreet classics and bright “adaptation for the stage”. New footwear collections were cast by many-sided plots: northern motives of Nordic countries, luxury of Old Russian patterns, luster and glamour of bohemian secular style, British themes of the end of 19 centuries … Despite of numerous themes, reflected in footwear and accessories, the majority of collections are made to be easily and harmoniously blend with any ensemble.

Boots are an irreplaceable thing this season. Choose - classical with lacing or vanguard in “disco” style. Pay special attention to black varnish high-heeled boots.

Representatives of the British Fashion Designers Council have presented the list of nominees for the ceremony of British Fashion Awards 2007, with the main sponsor Swarovski. Ceremony of rewarding will be held on November, 27.

Among nominees – there are both recognized “masters” of the British fashion industry such as Stella McCartney, Luella Bartley or Giles Dikon, and young talents - Christopher Kein and Garret Pew. Only two designers - Stella McCartney and Anna Hindmarsh - are placed in several categories.

For the first time for all history of British Fashion Awards the new nomination will be added - in memory of Isabella Blow - Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator - will be given to stylists, photographers, visagistes for their contribution to development of the fashion industry.

So-called Oxford boots which became in inter-season period quite successful alternative to top-boots, can be considered an interesting novelty of the current season.

Modern technologies, rapid development of the society, change of guiding lines have led to numerous mutations of Oxford boots which after all came in woman’s fashion - together with trousers. In the beginning they simply copied men’s models - on a flat sole, with a man’s silhouette, with short lacing with 2-4 holes, with round or square toe.

Then forms became more and more graceful, and a heel - more and more high. Now they were offered to be worn not only with trousers, they were good with thin raincoats in man’s style, and with secretarial skirts-pencils.

Classical “gangster” boots with a combination of black and white (and also matte leather with varnished) can be seen this autumn at Alberta Ferretti, Bally, Eva Turner, Le Silla. It is, as a rule, high enough stiletto heel from a black leather, black toe with perforation, black lacing, and other details - from a white or light-cream leather.

However designers’ imagination is not limited today only to known models. For example, the leather can be combined with tweed or other textile materials (Etro, Stuart Weitzman). The Fashion House Miu Miu has presented very romantic retro-silhouette with a steady heel, rounded toe and soft flounces from perforated leather. And Dries Van Noten and Marni have put their “Oxfords” on platform soles.

The concept of the respectable glamour is ideally expressed in such footwear, as the Oxford boots. These are narrow-nosed boots from a leather of two-three colors, with small edgings and, as a rule, decorative punching.

Once they have appeared as a uniform footwear of Oxford’s students, then have left  borders of a campus, became a sign of a youth fashion, and then a certain symbol of a conservative British fashion as a whole.

They suit the main tendency of the current fashionable season ideally as they can be combined with business narrow skirts - pencils, and with trouser suits, and with elegant retro-coats, and with dense opaque tights.

As a whole the autumn footwear looks quite classical and does not cause tearing away. Moreover, it looks like today you can make purchases which will be worn some seasons successively: such things never become outdated.
