Mobile Porsche

Following Ferrari and Prada, Porsche designers have presented their new development - mobile phone created by Porsche Design group. Mobile phone Porsche P ‘ 9521 has been designed in cooperation with the manufacturer of cellular phones, company Sagem. Designers of an automobile brand have tried to give the mobile device not only a smart design, but also have equipped it with the ultramodern technical “stuffing”. By the way, phone has two impressing technical capabilities: switching on with the help of a finger print and rotation of the basic part of the phone around its axis on 180 degrees.
The phone has been displayed to the public by Porsche director, Stephane Bret in Red Dot Design museum in Essen. The price for “clam-shell”, shocks as well as all Porsche’s creations, - almost 2.000 dollars for a copy.
The batch production of the phone is planned on the first half of 2008.


The footwear which saves a life

Uniting of high technologies and clothes is, perhaps, one of the most progressive tendencies of fashion development. In some cases built - in gadgets serve only for entertaining purposes. But more often the “smart” clothes are called to provide to the owner additional comfort and to solve some problems. And sometimes to save a life. Such purpose has a new running shoes line which has been recently shown in Washington. Microsystem GPS which will not allow the owner to be lost is built - in a sole of this footwear. The founder of this model - 38-years engineer Isaac Daniel believes that his invention will rescue many lives. First, the novelty will help to find people which are not always able to control their behavior, for example, patients with presenile dementia or older persons. Secondly, “smart” shoes will be useful for travelers and, certainly, for children: children’s models should appear this autumn. As if to the basic collection, it is on sale from this May - June: one pair will cost about 350 dollars. Further Isaac Daniel plans to create footwear with built - in phone, Bluetooth and MP3-player.


Big investments of Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani has declared the plans to invest almost 100 million dollars in expansion of his fashion empire in the nearest three years. Despite of active rumors about possible fast leaving from a post of the head of Giorgio Armani house and quiet pension of the great fashion designer, he is not going to leave the work.
Armani’s expansion will begin from the opening of a unique huge boutique in New York on the well-known Fifth Avenue. Megastore on the area more than 47 thousand square foots will become the true museum.
«The spirit of a new shop will reflect all modern changes in the world: it will be international, cosmopolitan, multicultural and, that it is the most important, will meet the last requirements of progress», - told the designer in an interview to Women’s Wear Daily edition.
Among the further plans of the company - new start of Armani Jeans in the US and serious promotion forward in the field of online-trade.


Alisher and his special collection

Last week Alisher has presented the new fashion-creation, to estimate which gathered many Moscow celebrities.
In a secular hangar on Kurskaya gathered an actress and singer Christina Orbakayte, singer Anita Tsoy, seldom appearing in public Natalia Vetlitskuya, admirers of «srtasses and feathers» Phillip Kirkorov and Sergey Zverev, and also great number of manufacturers and known TV-people.
The collection of «Absolut Alisher» duet includes clothes and accessories for women and men. These are cocktail dresses, jeans shorts, shirts, and also common for us on works of the designer bright accessories from feathers.
«Absolut Alisher» became the first joint project of a brand with the designer from Russia. Absolut worked  with such “icons of style”, as Tom Ford, Versace, Galiano, Gotie, Manolo Blanik and Stella McCartney.


Helen Cristensen has big ideas about London

More and more supermodels of 90s continue their career as the designers of clothes. Fallowing colleagues Christie Terlington and Al MacFerson Helen Christensen also decided to conquer the fashion market of the Europe. She lives and works in New York and some years ago opened in Manhattan her own boutique of vintage clothes and accessories. Now Helen plans to open doors of the branch in London. For the beginning of her fashionable expansion 38-years designer has chosen the prestigious London area Notting Hill known for its fashionable stores and show-rooms. 
«Many of my constant clients in New York are inhabitants of the Great Britain, that is why I considered this idea, - told Cristensen, who agreed to take part in a popular charitable action A Night In Fashion which will be held in a legendary London Tower at the end of June. - Area of Notting Hill seems for me an ideal variant for the beginning of the British history of my trade mark».
Helen Cristensen left podium seven years ago right after the birth of her son Mingus and since then has devoted herself to the design and collecting.


Elizabeth Jagger and Irene O’Connor for Marks&Spencer

British fashion industry beforehand gets ready for the forthcoming autumn season. These days leading photomodels and women of the world Elizabeth Jagger and Irene O’Connor took part in new photosession of an autumn collection of Marks&Spencer‘s clothes.
Girls for the first time represented popular mark of the democratic clothes sold in the department stores of the same name. Glamour Irene with a hair-dress - square in style of 1940s was perfect in a long evening dress with a gold embroidery and charming Lizzy, flaunted before cameras in the subtle dress from black sateen on a wide belt. Other main trends of the collection were jackets - parks, wide trousers, narrow skirts - pencils and long wide sweaters for cool autumn evenings.
Besides a line of clothes Marks&Spencer offers in an autumn collection a new line of underwear named “super-pant”. The slinky pants developed by designers according to the modern requirements, perfectly hide any lacks of the figure. «New pants are sewed from a material which shapes a body, thus remaining invisible outside. Their shape is invisible even from under the most slinky trousers», - told M&S’s representative. Soon underwear collection will be expanded by special brassieres.


Manolo Blanik is open for a dialogue

The Internet gradually replacing all possible sources of the information strengthened itself in the world of fashion as well. In increasing frequency news that this or that designer opened his own site or blog and is ready to communicate with his admirers and to share fashionable advice become a common thing. Footwear designer Manolo Blanik fallowed his numerous colleagues and also decided to learn spaces of the global network.
These days the fashion designer has declared that he is going to communicate with all interested persons through his blog. The site is planned to be regularly updated - the designer promised to inform on all his new ideas, about opening of new boutiques, about his friends and the nearest plans.
«Manolo Blanik is going to give much attention to the collections - to tell about the creation of this or that footwear, to share the sources of his inspiration», - was said in the official statement of the company. Also visitors can find there the detailed information on every designer, their biography, detailed news section and the worldwide map of Manolo Blahnik’s boutiques.


Fashion to the maxi

This magnificent tendency was generated in Sen-Trope and in London where local girls have decided, that it is fashionable and convenient, and the others have followed their lead.
It is said, that in London department store Harvey Nichols long dresses and a skirts from Stella McCartney, Gucci, Andrew Gn, Marc Jacobs, David Szeto, 3.1 by Philip Lim and LAMB are sold with that speed as they can be unpacked. There are similar creations from less expensive marks TopShop, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse, in a while they will be joined by Zara, and Mango. For the most part they are of bright monochrome colors, or decorated with flower patterns, and it is even better a pattern in tone with a different structure.
The long dress has turned from the category of evening attires into everyday ones. But notice, that it is not echoes of hippie – style, so leave your sandals on a flat sole for mini, and for maxi search for high heels or a graceful wedge-heeled shoes. The same concerns accessories: not bright bijouterie in ethno-style, but adornments - with color stones.
In general, a lady should wear a long dress in this season as a celebrity, but not as the representative of subculture.


New accessories from Dior

New Dior collection most recently began one of the first collections shown in New York. Style of the sixtieth and glamour in Elizabeth Taylor’s style became the basic theme in clothes and have once again proved to be true in accessories: small handbags of gentle pastel tones from a leather, suede and a crocodile leather.
Some handbags have been offered like a set with tiny purses in harmonious color, fastened to one of the sides of a handbag with a chain.
Evening Dior handbags are a little bit disappointing: made of the atlas of pastel shades and excessively decorated with jewels and ribbons, they look as if made for the 14-years old girl, but in no way for the mature and solvent woman.
