New Dior collection has been displayed in New York. John Galliano once again has shown his talent, having created rather colorful show by connecting various elements of styles, colors, details and fabrics and completely denied the opinion of fashion critics who believe, that the trend of the sixtieth will soon come to naught.
John Galliano used in his collection Elizabeth Taylor image - and not only in the clothes, but also in hair-dresses and make-up: luxuriant hair, false eyelashes, penciled eyes.
The collection would not be the Galliano collection without thorough attention to details: massive ear-rings, high necklaces, head-dresses. “Animal” prints have appeared on loose dresses, trousers and even broad-rimmed hats. Light influence of the East style which could be noticed in the new collection, actually is not new for Galliano (we shall recollect even his fashion display spring 2007).
