Goths from Givenchy and dolls from Lacroix
The young designer Riccardo Tisci, who is for quite some time ruling the show in French Fashion Houses Givenchy, has pleased visitors of Parisian Week Haute Couture with an unusual combination of ballerina’s image and the Gothic woman-vamp. The black-and-white collection of not just elegant dresses, but real creations of modern architecture, has proved the Italian fashion designer in the status of the lawful follower of the great Hubert de Givenchy.
His colleague Christian Lacroix has once again let go on a podium multi-colored women-dolls in magnificent colorful attires. Christian Lacroix Couture collection has some Russian motives, expressed in rich gilt hand-worked embroidery and monograms on jerkins, and elements of the French courtesans style – lacy jabots, balloon-sleeves, spotted skirts.
The bride in the multilayered dress decorated with gold angels and false roses has crowned the show, as it is accepted in any Christian Lacroix’s collection.
