Dress-code: or between convenience and austerity
When the matter is about reputation of a firm or sound business, it is banned to neglect reserves the conventionalities in a choice of clothes. The idea of a dress-code, which has arisen in England in the beginning of the nineteenth century, has recently widely spread all over the world.
Dress-code is called to settle rules, according to which clerks should dress in this or that company. Dress-code is an obligatory requirement in some companies to wear the clothes strictly selected in one style, or a uniform. Dress-code well suits those, who don’t like to draw general attention. However it is the real torture for those who have not got used to be like others.
Style depends only on the head of the company, who has chosen for the employees this or that dress-code. The clothes should not distract from work and sometimes are called to attract attention of the client, so that the form or style strongly associated with this very company. Russia has not huge experience in such “coding”. Probably, therefore Russian dress-code is only a strict suit. In most western companies the main thing is neatness and dressing tastefully.
