Trend of a season: Knitted things (Part 2)

October 10th, 2007

In general an idea of knitted coats – whether artificially deformed or slim line and glamour – is as never vital in the autumn season. Many designers offer to refuse from traditional trench coats and leather jackets. Knitted coats give much more charm, in particular in combination with light chintz and silk evening dresses. Moreover, they have one very important advantage: large stitch warms a body and sometimes the owner doesn’t need additional accessories even at zero temperature.

Images from the childhood are very popular this season – polar bears, penguins, lambs and deer – are all recollected in new collections from Stella McCartney and Chanel, who placed cheerful animals on knitted scarves and sweaters with wide neck. Youth brands have also used animals in their creations – irreplaceable in frosty days components of a wardrobe dazzle with various colors and figures in show-windows of H&M, Zara and Benetton. Designers from GAP have also taken care of the buyers, having offered them embroidered with the bear heads cozy roll-neck sweaters with a flannelette lining and dense leggings, decorated with elk’s muzzles. Christmas sweaters with deer in red-white color spectrum has also offered American retailer American Eagle Outfitters.
