Collection autumn-winter 2007 from Donna Karan

September 6th, 2007

Again having returned to one of the early finds, designer Donna Karan in the basis of her new autumn collection has included suits. In the new season the minimalism has became a priority of many designers, and suits from Karan “have hit the mark”, having turned to dresses-jersey - for a day time wardrobe and having shown necessary easiness due to silk and atlas. Mixture of matte and brilliant textures, and also contrast of bright chartreuse, blue and violet against a background of black became the distinctive characteristic of the collection.
The true hits of collection became evening attires: dresses from the shining thin atlas and silk with an open shoulder, jackets from organza and tweed, combined with skirts. This collection hasn’t contained trousers though the practical glamour created by Karan in the combination of trousers and tunics with a belt, is inherent to collections of the New York designers.
