First Berlin Fashion Week
Being recognized as a trendsetter in an automobile business, Germany did not lag behind in a fashion and represented to the world all new and new names: Adidas and Strenesse Gabriele Strehle, Escada, Jil Sander and Hugo Boss.
At last the leading automobile concern and the fashion industry have decided to unite.
So they have declared 4 days, from July, 12 till July, 15, official time of carrying out of the first “big” Berlin Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Fashion show of the youth line Hugo Boss “Hugo”, which has opened the newborn week, was sold out: all 800 invited were present.
In the schedule of the subsequent 3-day marathon 12 displays appeared. Within the framework of the week their collections presented the German house Strenesse Gabriele Strehle founded in 1968, popular Berlin brand Lala Berlin, and also a guest from epatage London Vivienne Westwood.
The true outburst of the young energy and bright paints has accompanied Smeilinener fashion show.
Fashion Week was finalized by displays of unfledged graduates of the Berlin University of arts, fallowing patronage traditions of the “young” weeks.
